off topic: patch to clean up some JavaDoc warnings

While I was editing this file I figued I'd run IDEA's inspection tools and it
identified some JavaDoc warnings. This is a patch to fix them. It adds a period
to two javadoc comments and a @throws clause to another. Other than being for
StackObjectPool.java this patch is not related to the actually bug report.
