Christian Hammers commented on LOGGING-153:

My project uses other packages that already use commons-logging so I wanted log4j2 as the backend and use commons-logging as facade in case I want to switch to something different. Therefore I do not want to depend on the log4j2 API.

>            Priority: Minor
> While playing around with log4j 2.x I found the log.entry() and log.exit() functions quite handy. They are just small wrappers around log.trace("entering") resp. log.trace("exiting") but still... would you mind to include those as well?
