Colin Patrick McCabe commented on NET-452:
------------------------------------------

For some reason, the "move" option is no longer showing up for me for this JIRA.  So I have created a new JIRA under Hadoop-common (HADOOP) for this.  See https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-8159.

> Currently, NetworkTopology::getLeaf doesn't do too much validation on the NetworkTopology object itself.  This results in us getting ClassCastException sometimes when the topology is invalid.  We should have a less confusing exception message for this case.
